Every round at a glance
Capacity is as offered at auction in the DESNZ results. “Live” and “terminated” are contract statuses on the LCCC register: live means the contract's start date has passed, so a project can be generating before its contract is live. The register drops offers that were not signed and records later changes, so the two sources differ.

AR7 in detail
AR7 ran in two parts: DESNZ published the AR7 results on 14 January 2026 and the AR7a results on 10 February 2026. AR7 awarded, in 2024 prices: offshore wind 8,245 MW at £90.91/MWh; solar PV 4,905 MW at £65.23/MWh; onshore wind 1,306 MW at £72.24/MWh; floating offshore wind 192 MW at £216.49/MWh; tidal stream 21 MW at £265.00/MWh. Delivery years run from 2027/28 to 2030/31.
Strike prices by round and technology
Each figure is the capacity-weighted strike price for that technology in that round. AR1–AR6 strike prices were set in 2012 prices; AR7 in 2024 prices. We convert between them with the DESNZ CPI factor (2012 = 2024 × 0.7177).

Questions
What were the CfD AR7 results?
AR7 awarded 14.67 GW to 201 projects (DESNZ results; final results published 10 February 2026). By capacity: offshore wind 8,245 MW at £90.91/MWh; solar PV 4,905 MW at £65.23/MWh; onshore wind 1,306 MW at £72.24/MWh; floating offshore wind 192 MW at £216.49/MWh; tidal stream 21 MW at £265.00/MWh.
Which CfD allocation round awarded the most capacity?
AR7, with 14.67 GW across 201 projects.
How much capacity have CfD auctions awarded in total?
50.0 GW across 569 projects in AR1 to AR7, as offered at auction. The LCCC register today holds 55.5 GW across 612 contract units, including contracts outside the auctions.
Why are some strike prices in 2012 prices and others in 2024 prices?
AR1–AR6 strike prices were set in 2012 prices; AR7 in 2024 prices. We convert between them with the DESNZ CPI factor (2012 = 2024 × 0.7177).
What is the difference between auction results and the LCCC register?
Results = contracts offered at auction (DESNZ). Register = contracts on LCCC's register today, which drops offers not signed and later changes.
